HISTORY
San Bernardo was formerly called Barangay Pato, founded in 1970 by Jose Borral, its first Kapitan del Barrio. It was after the Filipino word for duck, because of the many ducks that could be found in the area. Later on, the name was changed to its current name to honor their patron saint, San Bernardo. It is one of the geothermal barangays in the municipality.
