Misibis

HISTORY

The barangay of Misibis has a colorful story behind its origins. Legend has it that a grand festival was once held in the barangay. One of the many activities in that festival was a beauty competition which Miss Nieves, a certain lady of great beauty, won without question. It was said that this marvellous woman captivated anyone who so much as simply glanced at her. Miss Nieves was so beautiful that the residents of the barangay began to idolize her. From then on, her story and beauty was passed down from generation to generation. The people named their barangay Miss Nieves in honor of the lady. Over time, the name was changed to Misibis.
