HISTORY
Bagumbayan is one of the six original barangays that composed the municipality of Tiwi. Named in honor of the Philippine’s national hero, Dr. Jose Rizal, who was shot at Bagumbayan, now called Luneta. It is currently one of the geothermal barangays in the municipality.
